If microformats (community) can go through its own process, and still manage to contribute or play along (whatever the right wording is here) with SocialWG's goals, than okay. Given MF's centralized approach to vocab development, I don't see it happening within a reasonable amount of time nor quality
#csarven. MF is extremely limited (by design .. which is fine) in its approach on what it can state. Point being: if MF is incapable of expressing some simple statements, that is no justification to change AS2.

#csarvenAnd for the record, to all... microformats "outsourcing" vocabulary development to IWC doesn't justify anything. For something to be a MF "format" format, it needs to go through the MF process as it gave itself, and for the community. MF process is not solely about the use-cases or usage in IWC, but on the whole Web. Which effectively means that it needs to document most common practices from all over the Web (again: going beyond what IWC came up with or i
#ben_thatmustbemeit is a fair point that apparently h-cite used to exist for other things, but got too complex so it was tossed out and eventually got replaced by indieweb's use of h-cite
#ben_thatmustbemeif your complaint is the mf2 does not support citing in other situations, i would point out that this is the social web WG, not being able to cite books is not really something that i see as being of concern to the group
